I think its called the shortcut menu, its the menu that is on the left when a program asks you to select a file, ill post a picture of it later. anyways it usually says my computer, desktp, my documents etc. but today i was given the laptop for my robotics team as the previous programmers left and now im going to be doing the programming. i've noticed that this menu is bugged and i was wondering how i would go about editing it so its back to normal, or atleast so its usefull. Picture is here

The box to the left can be ignored and we can carry on or if it's that offensive ask Dreamweaver to fix it.

I missed where it showed it was a DreamWeaver Save as dialog Places Bar.
I assume that is the only application affected, but if not, the OP can give us more detail.

i was going to crop the picture but i was too fed up with this problem, it is not a dreamweaver specific problem though, its everywhere. ill try your answer MarkFlax and see if it gets fixed. thanks guys
Try the TweakUI for XP utility suggested in the link below;
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/PlacesBar.htm
It's an easier utility to use and has many other interesting options.
