Problem with Windows XP

Hi!! I have a laptop that works with Win XP home edition. The problem is that I'm trying to log in in the windows and asked me for a password, I've never had a password configurated in the laptop, and it was working right... then I tried with the word "Administrator" and it is not the password... then I write something and the next message appeared: "The system cannot log you on now because the domain is not available", like I said before I never used a password to log in... I woul like to know if it is a virus, or it is a problem with the password... and how could I recover the password to log in.... thanks a lot...
