problem with vista

i am getting an error message when i start my vista the error message comes to be as the file c:windows\inf\other.exe has an invalid registry entry and the other one is c:\windows\system32\config\win.exe this has happened after i have connected my ipod to it may be i have virus how can it be corrected avira antivirus is not working with it.

thanks isnt a easy way out will formatting my machine do with this problem

But won't it just happen again? I found many to repeat whatever they did to put these things onto the machine. Also the article goes on and writes "If you have not cleaned up your machine, it would
be a good idea to do so." Then they use examples to remove the infection.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
