have you noticed that your ipod or iphone head phones do not work for your non-apple smartphone after you use the headphone on your macbook..pro...air...what have you.
i have a macbook, an ipod, but my smartphone is windows based. when i am at the library studying for finals or else if school projects, quite is the subject matter there. plugged in my apple earbuds to my macbook, once i was finished, i tried to plug it back into my phone to listen to some east african music. surprise the earphones do not work (not because it's east african music)! if you check the apple store the earphones are not meant(recommended) for laptops but they will work. i think the problem has to do with the different platforms...
the trick to making it work again is.......
(I)
after unplugging your earbuds from your apple laptops try to see if it works for your other devices
(II)
if it does not work on your non-apple handheld device, you will need to plug it into a windows based desktop (pc) headphone jack slot, listen to see if it works (99% of the time it will). this will reset it to work for any device again.
(III)
now you are back on track to listening to whatever is on your handheld device.....lol
((keepin a smile on your face) ...because you look better that way)
