Problem with SONY DCR-DVD305 (Recording on disc disabled)

Jul 17, 2006 1:14AM PDT

Hello,

I would be glad if someone could help me with the followinf matter.
I was recording a disc on my SONY DCR-DVD305 using original SONY DVD+RW. After recording for two days and for about 10 minutes I wanted to play the recorded part. When I pushed play I saw on display the recorded frames but right away I got the message that the cover is not closed completely (it's strange, because a day before I was able to play the recorded part). So I opened and closed the cover and right away I had a message: Recording on disc disabled. So, right now I am not able to see what I recorded.

Any help or advice how to get the recorded video?

Thank you in advance!!!

You put it in a PC you can scrape files off it with ISOBUSTER. This is not an offer on how use a PC, ISOBUSTER or how to find ISOBUSTER. That's what we have google.com for.

Thank you, Bob! Did it, but the disc looks empty. The only remaining thing is 1 sec part of my 10 minutes recording.
Is it a problem with DVD-RW discs or just a bad luck?

Not an offer.

I noted what some have done and I can't tell from your post if you proceeded to try that.

As to the problem, it's fairly well known that DVD camcorders will screw up once in awhile. Many consumers expected perfection. All I can offer is how some recovered their video content.
