problem with Skype

I downloaded Skype a couple of days ago and am using Windows XP on a Sony computer and a Coolicam. Everytime I try to check the camera I get an error message saying "Video source fails to deliver stream in correct format". The camera works with the regualar software that came with the camera but not with Skype. Any suggestions?

Logitech usually works.
