Problem with Samsung Freestyle Home Cinema HT-X200

I have a problem getting my DVDs to play on my HT-X200 player, I hear the disc start to spin and then it slows down and restarts seamingly never getting up to play speed. Is there anyone who knows whats wrong and is there a solution, other than getting a new machine that is.
