Problem with post author

Jan 12, 2008 6:48AM PST

Its been almost a week (since i started posting) and it still thinks that im posting as vhetland. I am signed in as myself (nsj0806) but all of my posts go to vhetland's profile not mine. I have posted successfully on the Gamespot.com forums (i think the accounts might be linked, but im not sure).

download.com reviews work fine
Jan 12, 2008 7:04AM PST

I just tested a software review on Download.com using the exact same login (i never logged out). it correctly identified me as the author and it added the review to my list of reviews in my profile.
It must be a problem with just the CNET forums

It's solely forums related...
Jan 12, 2008 9:33AM PST

The Gamespot forums use a different registration system, but the Cnet forums, Reviews, and download.com all use the same system. However, this issue is known to affect solely the forums. The good news is that it's a correctable issue...once the engineers fix your account all of the posts you've made will be correctly attributed to nsj0806, both in threads and member profiles. The bad news, though, is that the engineers haven't been addressing forum issues in a timely fashion lately, with one member having unaddressed attribution issues since July last year. Sad I understand your frustration, more than you think, but you should be prepared to wait a while.
