Problem with Outlook Express

My friend is running Windows XP and is having a problem with Outlook Express 6.

He is able to create a message and send it and is receiving messages...but is unable to "forward" or "reply" to messages. Is OE part of Internet Explorer or is it a separate program?

I'm hoping someone can help with this problem. Thanks so much in advance.

Can you describe what happened when your friend tried to 'Reply' or 'Forward' messages ? "Unable" tells very little about the problem. Any error messages ?

The error message is "message could not be sent, an error occurred."

Thanks again for any help!Happy
