Hi, I'm trying to play a DVD on my dvd drive and for some reason it is not working, in fact the icon for the dvd drive doesn't show up at all in my computer
I don't think there is actually anything wrong with the physical drive, just the driver, because it says in device manager:
"Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)
Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device."
I followed the troubleshoot instructions but nothing worked, and I tried updating the driver but that doesn't work either, what else can I do?
my computer is a dell notebook: inspiron e1505 and the dvd drive is a TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-L632D, the driver provider is microsoft version 5.1.2535.0
thanks for help,
Dave
