Problem with MP3 Player- Unknown File-

Mar 25, 2011 6:17AM PDT

Have had severe tinnitus(ringing in the ear)for 11 years now and I depend on a MP3 player to listen to white noise to listen to "mask" my tinnitus. Over the years have had several MP3 players and the one I just got is giving me some trouble.

I use a CD with white noise on it and transfer it to my MP3 player. Have used this CD for 10 years now and have never had a problem with the transfer.I bought a Coby MP3 player and it will not transfer the white noise from my CD and on the screen it say's "Unknown File".

Is there a way to take that unknown file from the CD and turn it into a file that will play on my new MP3 player? Thank You for your help! Model: COBY MPC556 512MB MP3 Player
