I tried to run Malwarebytes and it wouldn't work- said a file was missing. I tried uninstalling but it said a file was missing and needed to be reinstalled. I tried reinstalling and it wouldn't do that either. I'm stuck in a roundabout- help?

Such as OS machine etc. Have you run any other antivirus software?

It should clean out all the remnants of the old version of Malwarebytes so you can install the new.

Thank you all so much!! Sorry I didn't respond sooner. I have had an ongoing migraine and I try to go work on the computer when my husband isn't on it and my headache isn't slamming me. The removal tool worked perfectly and I'm now up and running. Thanks again!!
I had this problem. I clicked on an update that came on my screen( I had just purchased the lifetime version 5 months ago..and it deleted files and rendered my program unusable..I believe Malwarebytes has decided to start selling yearly subscriptions and this a way to do away with your lifetime contract. I uninstalled and tried to reinstall and was unsuccessful as it would not accept my ID and Key..I think it may have gone through finally when I minimized it and went to another site....but I think it automatically updated to the new version and will only be good until the year is up..I don't know yet..It is working now.
