problem with logon

i am the computer admin. when i log on though, it says it's loading my personall settings and then the computer restarts. i can log on to another limited account, but i cannot acess my files and documents. i asked a lot of people, but they all had no clue.

Your predicament is common. And why I've noted that having just one Admin account is an accident waiting to happen.

If this is XP Home, boot safe mode to show and log in on the Administrator (use that name) account to create a new admin capable account then start moving your files over.

Many repair options exist, such as KNOPPIX boot CDs to backup your files, placing a new hard disk to install XP to and then adding the old drive and a few others, but your choice on the next steps.

In closing, hows that BACKUP set?

i have xp pro...i'm restoring the system to the factory condition as we speak as i tried to re-install the system. ,but there always was a security error
