Problem with lenovo is6xm rev 1.0 motherboard

Jul 16, 2018 10:46AM PDT

So i recently got that motherboard mentioned in the title. I got a cpu for it, and then a 4gb stick of ram. But when i wen't to turn it on, i got only beeps. 3 short 3 long 1 short. Then i took the ram out and got the same beeps. So do you guys think the memory is faulty or the board or the memory is just imcompatatible. I will try to find some other ram to test with.

Cpu: i3-3220
Ram: 1x samsung 4gb 2rx8 pc3 10600u-09-11-b1

What makes you think that mobo supports that cpu?

What is this machine?

It was the cpu, not the ram. Me being an idiot and not looking at the cpu support list. The mobo only supports second generation core i cpu's.
