What you are seeing
Apr 12, 2012 8:56AM PDT

is the warning icon that is displayed by OSX when it comes across a PPC coded application.

One assumes that you are running OS X 10.6 or above.

Follow Bob's link and format the drive as Mac OS X Extended (Journaled)

Re: disk

- What partition(s) are on that disk?
- What filesystem do they have?
- Is that filesystem supported by the TV?
- What do you expect a disk to do when it's connected to the TV?
- Does it 'do' something when connected to your laptop or PC?

Yes, you can connect it.
No, it will not do anything once connected.
