Problem with gradient fills in Microsoft Word pictures

Oct 21, 2004 2:49AM PDT

Hi,

When I create a drawing in Word 2000 and use a color fill with a diagonal gradient in an object, the fill "blows up" after I close the drawing and then open it for editing. Actually, it looks like the filled area turns into a bunch of very thin individual lines. The only way I can use the graphic is to cut it and paste it back into my document as a bit map.

My office mate doesn't have this problem and we can't figure out what the difference is.

TIA for any help you can provide.

LAllen
