Problem with double boot

Jan 31, 2005 3:49AM PST

On changing the motherboard of my computer I added an XP pro OS over the existing one. I did not touch the Win98SE that I had on partition D, but since then it has failed to open: the announcement on the monitor is that several files are "corrupt or missing" including win.com and command.com, also in the windows directory of the 98 - himem.sys, dblbuff.sys and ifshlp.sys. I have the original 98 SE disk but they are all in cabinets, and I do not know where to look, so I can copy them afresh. Inserting the entire 98 on a computer that has the XP is of course impossible. Does anyone know in which cabinet the missing files are? Or is there another way; I have many applications that are not compatible with XP, so I still need the 98. Should I give up? Amos.
