Problem with browser or maybe PC

I'm not sure if it's me, but this is on both of my computers, one desktop, and one laptop. Here's the problem, sometimes when I click a link, the url on the top of the browser adds a "#" and even a number sometimes, causing the link not to load, or even slow down a lot. Please tell me a way to solve this if possible.
