Question

Problem with a search bar on the top of my screen.

by Umbreonjake / June 8, 2015 2:54 PM PDT

I have recently started seeing a search bar always above my screen no matter where I go, or what program I use, it is always there and I need some advice on how to get rid of it. It is a Windows Home Premium with this ( I assume) hack.

Unwanted search bar

If you are using Internet Explorer you can right click on the tool bar or search bar and you get a list of the bars. Your unwanted search bar should have a check mark next to it; click on the check mark to deselect it. Depending on which search bar you have, you might have a choice to turn it off or disable it. Search bars such as Ask.com are very persistent.
