Problem with a Seagate Baracuda 7200.11

by Daniel812 / April 4, 2008 12:46 PM PDT

Hello all,

I have just recently built a new computer, I put it all together fired it up and the BIOS recognizes my HDD but when I exit the BIOS it says "no hard disk detected!" and I cant go anywhere from there?

Any ideas on what my problem might be?

Thank you in advance!

and other thoughts.

Jumper set for master or slave.

Ribbon cable? Which connector, middle or end?

Connected to IDE port what?

SATA? PATA?

You didn't give us much to go on.
