Problem Uninstalling "Odometer"

Feb 28, 2004 4:33AM PST

I recently downloaded "Odometer" and decided later to uninstall it. I did so using Add/Remove in my Control Panel. However, it did not remove the icon in the System Tray and now I am getting a barrage of warning windows, at a rate of about 1 every minute or 2. The warning message reads: "Odometer. Access violation at address 0048C53D in module 'Odometer exe'. Read of address 00B03D10". How can I get rid of this constant harassment? My OS is XP Pro.

How do I fix the problem which is the same as Chuckles posted on: 02/28/2004?

Try doing a search and deleting everything with that name. Go into msconfig and uncheck any entry associated with the program. If that doesn't work, you can try to do a system restore to a point before you installed the program.
