Problem taking Screenshots of Video

Nov 12, 2005 9:21AM PST

I'm new to this forum. I'm not sure if we are aloud to use this forum for tech help. If not, my apologies.

I have a problem taking screenshots of videos. During the video, I press the "Print Screen" button and past it into paint.

I realise that when I past it into paint - if my video is still running in the behind the paint program - the video will actually play it in the paint program! If I move around the video window, it will move in the paint program. If I shrink it, it will turn out black.

I have a feeling this is due to my cheap graphics card. Does any one know what I can do? Does anyone know any good software I could use instead of using the Print Screen?

I called for Dell costumer support. found the solution so there is no need to respond. I will provide the solution for anyone else who has the same problem.

In Windows Media player, Go to Tools>Options and click on the "Preformance" tap. under "Video acceleration" slide it left all the way to None.
