Problem synching Outlook calendar to iPod

by femmedetech / August 19, 2006 12:21 AM PDT

I am having a problem synching my iPod (Gen5 60G) and Outlook 2003 calendars.

Everything is fine for appointments through October 28, 2006, but the appointments beginning Oct 29, 2006 (the day we go off DST) appear 1 hour later in my iPod calendar than in my Outlook calendar.

I've tried to re-sync, but the time discrepancy remained. I don't know whether the problem is in the Outlook programming or the iPod.

Has anyone else run across/solved this problem?

(BTW, my OS is WinXP Pro SP2).

double-checked my timezones in Outlook's calendar options. They are:

Time Zone 1: GMT -5:00
Adjust for daylight savings time is checked.
(This is the default time zone that corresponds to the time settings for my laptop.)

Additional Time Zone: GMT +1:00
Adjust for daylight savings time is checked.

My iPod Date & Time setting is US Eastern DST. Everything is in sync until October 29.

it's a bug, and I guess I'll just have to deal with it on October 29.

I really appreciate all the time and effort you put in trying to help me with this.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
