Problem sending an Email

Today is one of those days where nothing is going right.But I'm cool.
I'm trying to send an Email to a Moderator but when I click- Email the User I get, Update your Profile.When I fill out the profile and submit it I get INVALID VALUE SPECIFIED.So can someone tell me how to correct this?
