By default Outlook Express will block images from being downloaded for security reasons. When you can't see the images in an HTML email, a message appears underneath the subject line stating that images have been blocked. If this is what you're seeing, just click on the message to download the images.
I run WinXP-Pro on a Dell desktop. Occasionally when someone sends me a photo or other picture as part of an email, all I see is the outline of the space it occupies, and a small red "x" in the upper left hand corner. Can't figure out WHY this happens and what to do about it -- help, please!
