Problem Projecting using Ovation

by Strobel3367 / November 6, 2010 5:44 AM PDT

I am scheduled to present at an upcoming conference at a hotel and I plan to use their wireless LCD projector instead of mine. I purchased Ovation, http://www.adobe.com/products/ovation, a program that converts PowerPoint presentations into beautiful animated backgrounds. I recently tested the hotel?s projector through my laptop computer via a wireless connection that required installation. The Powerpoint presentation and the Ovation interface projected correctly through their projector. But when I started the Ovation presentation, the projector projected a white screen. The presentation displays properly on my laptop and my personal LCD projector.

I tried using various computer screen resolutions with no positive results.

The hotel projector make/model is Optima, GuwauKit Wireless Audio Video Kit, version 1.2.

My computer as well as Ovation does not recognize any other monitors as the hotel's projector is not wired/installed on the computer
.
I phoned Ovation on this issue and they told me that since Ovation works on my laptop and my personal LCD projector, the problem must rest with the hotel?s projector and/or the USB wireless device that came with this projector.

Can anyone tell me what might be wrong and how I could successfully project Ovation presentations through this hotel?s LCD projector? Thanks.

See if the hotel has a laptop to run the show for this one time event.

Thank you for your response. Actually, I was planning ongoing conferences at this facility. That is why using their projector seemed more attractive than using mine due to convenience. Using their laptop would be difficult as it would require downloading/installing the Ovation program on their computer. I don't think that they will agree to that.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
