Problem logging onto new User account

May 27, 2010 5:37PM PDT

My OS is Vista Ultimate 64bit. For the first time I created a new User account giving it a name and picture. No problem so far. But when I wanted to logon to this new account I got a message "The User Profile Service service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded".

Please suggest what to do?

If you google VISTA CORRUPT PROFILE you learn that this old bug lives on.

The solution is...

...to create another account; give it a name and password[if you want to], and let the system choose a picture. If you do not like the picture, you can always change it later. This [seems] to aviod the bug.

I already tried out exactly the same thing what you are suggesting but did not work.

Please suggest something else.

I see 2 options:
1. Keep using the one and only account you have.
2. Back to factory settings. It should work out-of-the-box.
