problem installing sun java

Hi, when ever i try to install java, i get 'windows installer - preparing to install...' and it doesnt go away, i have to end task it.
anyone know whats wrong with it?

Get the latest windows installer from MS - you must also uninstall the old java version first - but you haven't said what versions they are, or any other thing about your system as requested - so I cant be more specific -sorry!
