The usual fix is to order recovery media and use the DVDs they send you. If this laptop ran W10 then you could do this the hard way. Create a W10 Recovery/Install USB stick, boot to that and clean install Windows then install drivers and apps as dictated by Asus. That's a lot of work for most folk.
Hi guys,
My step-son did the recovery from the system to restart on new base his laptop who was getting slow and full of crap but his battery is dead and the laptop closed during the recovery process, now we have a loop of the blue welcome screen. I can't seem to get any acces to the recovery partition to restart the factory reset .
I download the assusrecovery.exe and burn an image dvd and changed the bios startup to cd/dvd boot #1 but it does'nt see it.
