Problem cloning drive with Norton Ghost 14

May 20, 2008 9:35AM PDT

When I try and clone my new old laptop drive to my new one I get an error message about not being able to clone the drive in the windows environment and I need to be in a recovery environment. So, I boot up my laptop into the Norton recovery environment using the Symantec recovery disc but there is no longer a menu choice that allows cloning.

I've scoured the manual but am still lost. Either their manual isn't very intuitive or I'm just a big idiot. Anyhoo, can anyone help?

I use G4U for free clone jobs. Not hard to use either.

The free version will transfer data from existing Hard Drive to you other hard drive.

However you will have to purhcase the program for "incremental backups"
