Re: no sound.

Not really clear what you did.

"When I get my DVD they are in .avi". What DVD, what is 'they'?
Then that mysterious 'they' is converted to .mpg and that doesn't play in your DVD-player. Why convert?

Se what happens ...

if you use the free program from
to burn the avi to dvd without converting.

If no luck, just find a shop and buy that DVD in stead of downloading an illegal copy.

I agree with Kees. Otherwise you can use CinemaForge, a free software for conversion

I used it several times and I like it (I also use Adobe Premiere Pro but this one is not free)

Usually the DVD not able to read Audio means in the conversion of your movie from Avi to Mpeg, your software used an audio codec not recognized by your DVD player. Be sure to check out for an option, wether you can change the audio codec that will be used for the conversion.

Re: sorry

No offense intended. There are so many people who don't pay, that it's rather safe to suppose somebody does. But I'm glad to see you do it the legal way.

Hope you manage to do it.
