Melati, this is bad news...
It has been discussed on these forums in recent months but right now I am unable to find it. Maybe a Google Search will find it.
Best of luck!
That was Gookle, a little different but MIGHT
be the same result. Hard to tell which is why I'm suggesting multiple scans. That rung a bell with me too immediately Glenn. You have a good memory.
Yup, its not GOOKLE .. but GOGGLE..
additional info.. when I use a 'MAC' and forget to close the browser... it came a warning message, that a spyware is installed .. and so on...
How do I clean a MAC? same software as PCs?
Thank you again
Somebody else will have
to answer that one, I have never used a Mac in my life.
there was a thread here a while back
cannot seem to find it.
be on the safe side and conduct usual AV and malware scans. if there is anything there it will be revealed.
that said you shut PC off during the process so chances are you killed it.
sorry I could not be of more assistance.
Thanks for the info, I'm aware of
GOOKLE.COM (if that what you reffering - Glenn), but this one is GOGGLE.COM -- Please apologized if you mean the same site..
Roddy, I did the online scan too.. they found nothing.. (Maybe it because I closed the browser before it finished installing)
I hope you got it Melati, if you have
any problems, you know where we are.
check your system
for these two products....
Spybouncer and Guardbar
goggle.com has the same IP as those and is in the host file to block it.
let me know if one or both of those products are on your system.
Yes, thats the name of software..
I hope it didn't make it to my system yet..
I will recheck my system now..
let me know, chances are it may be on the system, i forgot, is this a mac or windows system we are talking about?
My system are clean.. its a Windows XP
I guess because of the utility I use (Adaware SE, Spybot SD, Spywareblaster and NAV - with the latest update) and maybe because I closed my browser before it finished installing.
Thank You guys...
(NT) Great news Melati. :D
