So you've tapped F6, supplied the SATA diskette?

Sorry but I didn't read the exact details in your post. There is also an issue with XP and SATA drives. To fly past that issue you need the XP SP2 CD. I didn't see you tell which CD you had.

And about your XP CD?
Jul 16, 2007 1:58AM PDT

I've seen this setup lock on XP and XP SP1 CDs. Because of this I don't bother until I have my XP SP2 CD.

Other thoughts are you plugged something into an USB port and the OS couldn't deal with it. But then again the details are quite sparse here.

When you have XP SP2 all setup, install the MOTHERBOARD DRIVERS then that USB device's drivers and only then plug that in.

Should be fine then.

Glad if I helped you find it any faster...

Ahh that issue.
Jul 16, 2007 4:47AM PDT

That is indeed a BIOS issue. Nothing we do with Windows will fix that issue.

Did you try changing the boot order to only have the CD and Hard disks and omit USB boot items?

-> Be careful here. I don't have the manual to your machine so I can't tell you any "steps" since ...
