Privatizing addresses in a mass email

Aug 27, 2007 10:04AM PDT

I have a question in regards to forming a group in a POP program like Outlook, Otlook Express, etc. How can you format your email message so that when you click on the group you want to send a mass email to (i.e. a distribution list), in the header instead of showing all the addresses in the group it shows as "undisclosed receipients"? Now, I know emailing yourself the email and sending the email as a blind carbon copy to the group is one way you can do but how do you get it to show "undisclosed receipients" in the header?

Put the whole group as BBC

Now when the others get this email, it will say undisclosed-recipients:;

What about the To: field?

Rick, do you put anyone in the To: field? Do you just leave it blank?

I use Mozilla Thunderbird

and I leave the to: blank. This way the only email address exposed is mine.

***If you have to put one in To: then put your own.
