Prior Perfect working pc is encountering major issues!!!

Sep 5, 2016 12:42PM PDT

So for beginners Im going to say I'm not the most tech informed person on the planet and am In dire need or your guys help!!!! It all started with Windows 10 having an update. After the update a program called one drive was booted up on Windows start up. Me being the minimalistic ocd maniac I am this drove me nuts and wanted to uninstall the program. I couldn't. So I found a thread online saying I could delete it using the command console in administrator mode using %SystemRoot%\System32\OneDriveSetup.exe /uninstall if you’re using 32-bit Windows 10 or %SystemRoot%\SysWOW64\OneDriveSetup.exe /uninstall if I was using 64 bit. I tried both but it said the command failed. So I give up and proceed to play world of warcraft for the day. The following day while playing WoW the game suddenly froze, and than the pc crashed. On boot up I was sent to the please select proper boot device screen where I began to **** my pants. So while praying I continually restart the pc & receive the screen a couple more times before the pc booting up normally again. I play wow for a bit longer, same thing happens but the pc doesn't crash I get a error saying there was an "error performing inpage operation" which was strange. Now the computer is really acting up and I am having to disconnect all plugs from the back of pc letting it sit and than restarting it for it to boot normally. Now I'm panicking and want to run a malware scan, I can't even get McAfee to open without getting an error, the desktop freezing up or the taskbar or a crash... The computer seemingly is more compliant when I boot it without an Internet connection. But gets an error, freezes than crashes while I run McAfees full cpu scan. I really need help! Ps. This is a new gaming pc build that has works flawlessly and like a charm since I built it 3 months ago. Also I am not using an activated version of Windows 10 if that complicates anything, I also live with a really scumbag family where my cousin, brother or friend could be paying something to mess with my pc which is very very plausible. Anyways I thank you for taking the time to read this and Amy help would be very very much appreciated. Thanks!!!!

I don't think your issues are related to that failed uninstalling of Onedrive software. So I think it's something else.

It could be software or hardware. If it's software, everything will be fine after you did a refresh or a reset of Windows 10. But I don't know if that works on an "unactivated" (whatever that exactly means) version of Windows. Better try an official, legal version.
If even a totally new install of Windows doesn't work, it's a hardware issue. That boot problems might point to the hard disk causing the problems, but it can be everything.

If your account has a good password, only known to you, and the same goes for other Windows accounts with administrative capabilities, it's not very likely someone messed with it. For family and friends using your PC, set up a Visitor account in the Guests group. This is equivalent to the Guest account in earlier versions of Windows.

Thanks for the suggestions on account setup for the pc, I will set that up immediately. Also windows 10 still works without activating it, it just prohibits you from using certain features and has a watermark on the screen. I need to backup my content before I re install the os, do you have any suggestions on how to do so?

A common method is copying it to an external hard disk.

Here's the thing.

It sounds like you tinkered with the OS in ways that can break it. (WOW folders.)

Since all PC users backup their stuff (if not you do that now) you can try the Windows 10 Refresh This PC option. While it's supposed to not touch our files, you know better.
