Prints Blank Papers

Feb 17, 2004 12:03PM PST

Dear All,

My HP LaserJet 1200 printer accidently began to print blank papers. Giving blank papers means all the mechanical parts working properly. I am sure toner is OK.

Do you have any clue?

Bye!

You need it serviced. If it is totally blank then the toner is not being placed on the paper at all, if the heat roller were bad you would just get black dust, or characters that blew off.

The fact you get nothing means the Toner cartridge is bad or the toner is not being placed on drum in the Cartridge, so it is not getting on the paper at all, this would be due to a serious hardware problem.

(NT) Do a selt-test with the printer. No PC, No print on page = Toner or other stuff "out."

If under warranty have it serviced. If not, you need a service/maint. kit. No print suggests the tone cart is bad or simply empty, if it started to produce weak print beforehand. If this is the orginal toner cart. they're usually not 100% full as a new or replacement one would be, that's how they get you back to spend money. Continued operation with no print may further cause problems so refrain from operation until fixed.

good luck -----Willy
