Printing Slowdown

Using Lexmark Z12.& Windows XP.
I am experiencing a long delay between pressing Print and the printer actually starting to print.
This has occurred only recently.

As always any suggestions greatly appreciated.

You may may a print spooling problem.
Quick fix: Use System Restore to roll back to when it was normal, or unintall then reinstall the printer.

Thank you for your suggestion. In looking to uninstall I noticed I had two Z12 listed so decided to transfer the default to the unused one.
It seems to have done the trick.

As you will see, I seem to have solved the problem by changing the Z12 default.
