Printing Selected Scenes from a Movie DVD

Aug 28, 2005 2:43AM PDT

Is there technology or software that would permit me to play a movie DVD on my PC (Windows XP) and print off some of the scenes? (There's some great ceramic tile work in a Victor/Victoria set that I want to study more closely.)

Thanks.

Screen captures...
Aug 28, 2005 3:38AM PDT

Windows navtively supports screen captures...just press "prt scr" at the right time, then open a program such as Adobe Photoshop orMS Word (any program that supports graphics) and select "paste." Depending on the program you paste the program in, you'll be able to enlarge it, delete everything except a specific area, etc. Then, if you want a program that's more advanced and some argue offers better quality, check out the download.com Editor's Choice screen capture programs. They're all either free or offer trials, but watch for ones that place an advertisement overlay on the picture.

Hope this helps,
John

Capturing scenes from DVD

Some of the DVD software players have a snapshot feature that lets you capture as many single frames as you want.

The one that comes to mind is Power DVD by CyberLink.
You can download a trial copy and try it out.
