Printing from Internet in HP: too SMALL !!!!

Sep 15, 2008 11:21AM PDT

Hi fellas !

I bought an HP Photosmart C4200 Series for using with my Windows XP SP2 directly wired and my Vista Home Notebook using my wireless network.
Now when I print from Internet (mapquest, just for say something) I get tiny smalls letters, I don't have an eagle vision and this is really painfull for me, I can hardly read this printings.
I remember things were different when I was using my old Compaq printer.
Is there some way in order to get BIGGER letters in my printings from Internet.

Thank you for your help

Are you using IE7?

If so. Up in the top right hand you will see Print. click on down arrow and click Print preview.
Just above what you want to print it will say, Shrink to fit.
Click the down arrow it will give you a drop down with percentages.
I think it goes from 30% to 200%
Pick the one that works for you and still prints everything on the page.
If you are using Firefox
Click tools, content, Fonts and colours and just make the fonts bigger.
Hope that helps.

Printing from Internet Explorer 7 too small!

Thanks for the advice--it worked! The print icon's pull down menu at 100% produced the earlier versions of IE. Is there a way to set the print default at 100%?

This happened once before to me a long time ago and I forgot how to resolve the issue. I just tried what you suggested (with Firefox) and my % was 70. Got it back to 100% thank you very much!!

Solved! Font size when printing a web page
Aug 28, 2012 10:29PM PDT

When using IE9 and find that printing from a web page is far too small, go to the drop down box to the right of the printer symbol and enter "Page setup." Untick the print to fit box and reduce the page margins as far as your printer will allow. I did mine to 11mm all around. Then save and presto.
