Printing from email defaults to landscape

Mar 22, 2010 2:05AM PDT

When printing from an email or other web-based source, I hit Cmd P and the print dialogue comes up with the landscape configuration as default. How do I get it to come up with the portrait configuration as default? This is driving me crazy!

In the Print Window, next to Presets, what are you set to? There's usually Standard, Last Used Settings and possibly custom settings. You might try experimenting here.

I had the same problem and found this fix on another forum. It worked for me.

Print comes out landscape

Yep, agree with macnerd10.
If printing email and webpages comes out landscape then it is a printer setting (unless you have set both email and web browser to print landscape or you are using webmail).<div>If email prints OK and web browser prints landscape then adjust the print setup from within the web browser application.
I have been caught several times by web browsers. It sucks when the printer is not near the computer.
