Works fine for me, I just did it.
I use XPpro, SP2, IE, HP pse950 printer.
Perhaps just reloading your print driver may correct it (just guessing).
Wondering if anyone else has noticed this, or if it's just me
I'm posting it here in Forum Feedback because it appears to be a CNET issue.
Lots of times I wish to print out a response from a thread. I do as I have always done by highlighting the portion I wish to print, click *file* *print* and choose *selection* from my printer properties, then *ok*. Nothing different from before, and it works fine everywhere else I do this except here in CNET recently.
What I get now - no matter how carefully I highlight my selection - is a final extra page that has on it ONLY the banner advertisement that is seen at the top of the page (near the *tabs*). The advertisement changes, so I get whichever one is currently showing when I choose to print.
This is driving me nuts! It is a waste of paper and ink. I can work around it by putting in only the number of sheets I need for what I am printing, then cancel the error message from my printer that there is no paper loaded when it tries to print the banner ad. Or by always remembering to place a sheet of "scratch paper" in there to catch the ad. I shouldn't have to do that.
What is making that banner ad print when I know I am not selecting it?
I run Win XP Professional, SP2
Epson Photo 890 printer
TIA
