Printer wont work on my macbook

hi. i have a new macbook, using the usb cord, i added my printer (hp officejet k80) to the printer list, but when i try printing, it wont print at all. and it also says that the printer is ready but why wont it print?
please help!

I didn't find MacOSX noted in it's driver list. You should try hp.com and see if you find them.

Has this printer EVER worked with your Macbook running OS X 10.5.2?

What Bob told you was that HP did not, have not and will not, make a driver for your printer that runs on OS X of any flavor. This is a very old printer, maybe more than 8 years old, and maybe built before OS X was getting into its stride.

You may find a driver at one of the Open Source sites, This one for instance but it will not provide the full functionality of a manufacturers driver.
