Printer will not work

Aug 25, 2006 7:02AM PDT

I have a Lexmark Z22. It connects through the normal parallel cable. The printer will not turn on. I plug it in and when I click the power button, nothing happens. I visited Lexmark's site and the only useful thing it said was that if I am using a power surge protector, it may be draining the power from the printer. Because of that I bought another extenision cord without power surge protection but it still doesn't work. Is it possible to fix this or do I have to buy a new printer?

A bad word I won't type.

I futzed with it over a year now and then but in the end it was sent out with a batch of other electronic waste.
