Can you explain a little bit. Things like:
- what is a "foreign" IP-address
- where did you try to remove it from
- what is the netstat method
- "search and cortana application" isn't an IP-address
- how do you mean "populating"
- what is the relation between an IP-address and a PID
What happens if you turn the laptop off while connecting the printer? Then anything you do or did on the laptop doesn't have any consequences, assuming the printer has to connect to your wireless router.
Hello! I am having trouble connecting a printer we just purchased to Wifi. It is an hp printer and I have an hp laptop. I called tech support and they said the problem was the foreign IP addresses due to the fact the printer is trying to connect to more than one IP address.
They offered me service to clean out the system which would cost way to much money. I went to Youtube to see how to remove foreign IP addresses and I did the "netstat" method. Every time I finish removing them, the foreign address "search and cortana application" keeps repopulating with a new PID and still can't connect the printer.
Please let me know if anyone knows how to help me get this printer working. Thanks!
