Printer problem

by im4deacons / February 16, 2004 4:24 AM PST

I have an hp7550. It has worked fine for over a year. Now I cannot get it to print when I send something to print nothing happens I chcck printer status and it says the print job is in Q but needs user intervention and printer must work offline. I have windows ME. I have tried all of Dells self help solutions, I have tried to reload printer software. hp 7550 is default printer. Printer works fine from self diagnostics and test print from its own control panel. I just don't seem to have communications between computer and printer.

Does the printer work on another computer?
Does another printer work on this port (be it parallel or USB)?

You need another and/or another computer, that's an obvious disadvantage of these methods, but they surely help to locate the problem.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
