The loss of duplex is not unheard of so my advice is to arrange for a refund and acquire a printer that does what you want.

I recently switched from XP to Windows 7, and have a printer issue that I can't resolve. I have an HP Color LaserJet 2605dn (owned less than 3 yrs.). Windows 7 has the driver. When I look at the properties, the description says that the printer has duplex functions. Yet, when I look for them when I print, the only duplex function that shows is "manual duplex". The printer does duplex as I can print a booklet. However, that puts two pages on each side and scrambles the order. The HP website has not been helpful and the company has no process to contact them that works (I have tried live chat and emailing with no success. Do you have any thoughts?
