Printer friendly view of forum discussions

It would be useful if there were a way to print out sections of these forum discussions from a printer friendly view without all the extraneous screen clutter you get without such a view. Is there already a way to do this? Thanks for your help.

I'm afraid there isn't. Can you repeat your question in the Forum Feedback forum? That's a forum about this forums, which is read by its management. Maybe Lee Koo finds this a good enough idea to put his engineers to work on it.

I sometimes select portions of Posts that I want to save or print, such as instructions and print the selected text. And when I want so save or print multiple portions of Posts I copy and paste to a text editor such as Notepad then save or print. It takes I very tiny bit of effort but I find that if something is worth saving it's worth the effort.

Hope this is helpful.

A good idea but...

I hope someday to be computer literate enough (or should I say 'have enough computer dexterity'?) to know how to use copy and paste and Notepad, but I'm not there yet. Thanks for the idea, though.

Not really difficult. And it's one of the basic features of Windows, so worth to learn.

1. Select any piece of text with (the left key, keep pressed) your mouse. It turns blue.
2. In the menu, choose Edit>Copy
3. Go to where you want to put it.
4. From the menu, choose Edit>Paste
5. And there it is.
In stead of Edit>Copy and Edit>Copy the shortcuts ctrl-C and ctrl-V can be used (and most people do). And often, but not always, there's a Copy option if you right-click your mouse after selecting what you want to copy; it's a good way to copy a picture also.

Notepad or Word or Works are just text or word processors. Very useful to paste text in and print it. You'll find Notepad under Desktop-accessories in Start>Programs. But if you use a program often, you might like to put a shortcut to it in some more accessible place, like the desktop or the quick launch bar. But that's quite another story.

Just try it. You'll see how easy it is.

It seems easy enough.

First chance I get I'll have to try it. Thanks so much!

As Kees said, this is one of the first

things that you should learn to do, and so easy and so very useful.

Need more step by step, just ask here for more details. Kees really gave it all in a few words.
