I had to un-install an Epson Stylus Photo 750 and on re-install downloaded a generic
driver from Windows XP as Epson and other driver sites have no updated driver for
this printer. (The driver on the original Epson CD will not install as XP claims that it not
compatible and will not allow installation ) The original driver was recognized before
I un-installed the printer however the initial installation was done before I updated XP
with Service Pack2.
(Incidentally, the Win 2000 driver at Epson support site does not work).
The Printer is working fine EXCEPT that on EVERY start or reboot I get a "found new
hardware" message even after I have tried 3 - 4 un-install / re-installs. It?s driving me
crazy....
Sometimes (not always) a Windows message offers the option of "not showing this
message again" but even checking that box off, on next start up I'm back to new
hardware found....
I?m not ready to dump the printer so guess I'll have to live with the multiple
click, click click at each start up unless I can get any help here.
