... in the 1st paragraph, you mentioned that you have installed it ? In th nd paragraph, you mentioned that you have to "bought it to the computr" ?... Anyway, what you usually do is this:
Disconnet the printer from the computer. Install the driver- [double click on the file and let the system do all the work.] Now connect the printer. Windows will reconize it and install it. However, you have to watch the monitor screen and follow instructions, if any.
I tried to post this question yesterday, but I cannot find it on the forum any place, so I am posting it again. I am sorry if this is the second time it appears. I bought a new printer and apparently I need to download a driver to make it compatible with Windows Vista. I have the file name but I cannot figure out how to download it. Every time I find some place to download the file it wants to download a file called download detective. I finally downloaded that file and installed it, but I don't really know what to do next. I am hoping you would have some ideas. The name of the file is kx_mb7.exe .
To give you a little more information on the printer we have is a Panasonic kx-mb781 and we have installed it on a computer running Windows Vista premium. Apparently it only comes with the drivers for up to Windows XP. I am trying to download the newer driver file and that is when I run into this problem. They do not have the computer attached to the Internet so the file will have to be downloaded and then brought to the computer. Hopefully you understand my predicament. I am hoping you will have some ideas. I am looking forward to your response.
