preventing spam/fraudulent emails

i have earthlink dialup.operating system is win98se.
with earthlink total access you get spyware blocker,scam blocker and spam blocker.i get up to 4 suspect emails a day.the one earthlink said is fraudulent and the others are fraud also.i have reported it and still get them.i have norton av 2004.
is there any way to prevent these emails from getting through?

if Earthlink sees a lot maybe they can tighten their spam controls on the server.

do you email your friends? and do they uses b.c.c i bet not all do and then they mail others and your email addys there.

plus some sites you regester ask for it and they sell it.

thats why i use a gmail addy for all non important stuff
